Simon has said:

I am looking forward to bringing a renewed energy and enthusiasm into the music making of my local community in an already thriving Bodmin Town Band. We are all excited to be working towards the National Finals in September as well as a variety of engagements throughout the summer.

This of course comes after the brilliant partnership the band had with John Maines, who has recently completed his tenure, following a move back to the North with his family. John worked with the band for a number of years, taking them from the third section, to qualifying this year for the Championship section following their recent win at the West of England Championships.

This is a really exciting time for the band under a new direction, whilst working towards the Championship Section and National Finals. Therefore, we would like to invite any interested players to come and join the band especially cornet, trombone or percussion players. If you are interested please contact MJ on 07496888904 or Emma on 07876030015 or through our social media pages, we’d love to welcome you to the band room.
